Welcome to the new building we are delighted to have completed in time for the beginning of this half term and would like to thank parents for their patience and support.
I would also like to thank the staff team here at Ducklings for their commitment and hard work. If you haven’t done so already please feel free to come in and have a look around.
We are planning an official re opening in January and welcome any ideas and suggestions.
Parent consultation event, Drop in session 6pm – 9pm Tuesday 11th January 2011
We unfortunatly had to cancel our consultation event due to bad weather howver we have rearranged it for the second week back and hope to see you there.
Throughout the evening we will have on offer
Individual Planning- Mrs. Cooper and Mrs. Boden will be available to plan next steps for your child and set learning goals based on your priorities.
Early Years Foundation Stage – Early Years Teacher Training Service,
and Mrs. Chapman will be available to discuss what the EYFS is, how we are implementing the EYFS and the impact this will have on our service.
Steering Groups -Mrs. Sojourn and Sarah Griffith will be facilitating group discussions, looking specifically at evaluating the new building, how parents feel the service offered can be improved and what parent’s priorities are for the nursery’s development plans?
Sign Up – Miss Clayton will be taking details of parents who are willing to volunteer as part of a rota or for specific outings. We are keen for parents to also come in to the nursery and talk to the children about their own roles and interests, also recruiting a group to plan and carry out the development of our outdoor space.
We will have Guest talks from Early Years Teacher Training Service and Fiona Godwin on the Role of the Children’s Centre.
This year we will be holding our Christmas Nativity Play at Moor Hall School this will be held on the Tuesday 14th December at 9.20 am. We will advise you individually as to what role your child will be playing and requirements for costumes.
All children will be rehearsing for the play and are welcome to attend for the play please bring children who are not normally booked in for a Tuesday morning to the nursery at 9 am and collect your child after the play. Parents don’t need to book tickets however we can only allocate two spectator seats per child.
We will be holding our Christmas party on Friday 17th December at 1pm and all children are welcome to attend. We break up after the party and the new term begins on Tuesdays 4th January
